Summer Entertainment Internship Program – 2010

The Fresh Fruit Pie Summer Entertainment Internship Program is here!

There are lots of exciting opportunities to learn and work on cutting edge media projects with Fresh Fruit Films.  Interns will be groomed according to their personalities and strengths, while receiving guidance in areas of needed growth. We hope you will consider working with us this summer in the exciting launch phase of our project.

Plagued by a weak resume?  We understand that college students don’t have a lot of experience to put on their resumes yet, and that’s okay.  Everyone else is in the same boat.  Just do your best!

These are unpaid internships that last from mid-May through mid-August 2010. We give preference to students in the South Bend/Mishawaka/Niles/Elkhart area.

Public Relations & Marketing Intern

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and maintain media contacts for Fresh Fruit Pie’s PR campaign
  • Assist in drafting press releases and marketing copy
  • Develop and manage local street teams
  • Acquire, schedule, and manage dates for Fresh Fruit Pie’s live tour
  • Assist in planning publicity events

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years volunteer or professional experience in promotions and/or brand management
  • Working towards degree in marketing, sociology, psychology, human resources, or related field.

New Media Marketing Intern

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and coordinate link building strategies to FreshFruitPie.com
  • Build and maintain social media pages on Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, etc.
  • Assist writers in developing keyword deployment strategies for Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
  • Assist in crafting content about 21st Century children’s ministry

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years hobbyist or professional experience in blogging and social media marketing
  • Working towards degree in new media, marketing, or computer-related field

Comedy Journalism Intern

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in writing regular articles and news updates in the comedic style found on FreshFruitPie.com
  • Assist in crafting bi-weekly newsletters to the company’s mailing list
  • Assist in drafting press releases and marketing copy
  • Work with new media marketers in developing keyword deployment strategies for Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years hobbyist or professional experience in writing witty blog or magazine articles.
  • Working towards college degree in creative writing, journalism, or other related field.

Video Production Intern

Responsibilities:

  • Write, produce, and edit content for the Fresh Fruit Pie headliner show as production schedule necessitates.
  • Assist in developing behind-the-scenes, interview, and production diary, and viral videos for FreshFruitPie.com

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years hobbyist or professional experience in filmmaking.  Must have at least one portfolio piece available.
  • Working towards degree in film, communications, or other related field.

Graphic Design Intern

Responsibilities:

  • Develop marketing materials, posters, as well as video game and website graphics

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years hobbyist or professional experience in graphic design.  Must have at least one portfolio piece available.
  • Working towards degree in computer graphics technology, industrial design, commercial design, or other related field.

Flash Game Developer Intern

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing “casual” Flash games that promote the Fresh Fruit Pie brand and its characters
  • Work with web developer and new media marketers to co-ordinate deployment and marketing of games to the Fresh Fruit Pie community

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years hobbyist or professional experience in creating flash games.  Must have at least one portfolio piece available.
  • Working towards degree in computer graphics technology, computer programming technology, computer science, engineering, or other related field.
